I received an email from Linda at LBL Equine Rescue regarding Hope and Reni, the dam and filly who both needed surgeries.
In ONE DAY, we raised over the amount requested to help these two. And, this is a very good thing because their truck malfunctioned on the way to surgery! But it all worked out.

This is malnourished but improving Hope, rescued heavily pregnant from the meat buyers – with her brand new foal, Serenity. Hope had a severe coffin bone infection in her right rear and baby had a horrible hernia.
A HUGE THANK YOU FROM LBL EQUINE RESCUE!
Here is the email:
Thank you so much with helping us raise funds for Hope and Reni! This is amazing and we greatly appreciate your help! Both are doing very well and although Dr. Davis was concerned with Hope’s lameness on her left leg, she is showing great strides in improving. The wrap is still on and she will continue with the pressure plate as well. We hope to have them both home early next week.
Again, we thank you and greatly appreciate your assistance. A very BIG thank you to the Horse and Man Foundation who raised $985 to help with the expenses!

BABY’S HERNIA IS GONE!
MAMA HAD COFFIN BONE SURGERY AND SEVERAL ANTIBIOTIC INFUSIONS.
She will stay in the hospital for another week so they can tend to her wounds and continue the antibiotic treatments directly to the coffin bone.

Mama’s right rear is wrapped and plated. Her coffin bone surgery went very well and now she is receiving direct antibiotic treatments during aftercare.
THANK YOU, EVERYONE, FOR ALL YOU DO TO PROMOTE AND DONATE TO THE BUCKET FUND. ANOTHER HAPPY ENDING. WONDERFUL! THANK YOU!
