OK, brace yourselves for this…
She will survive with daily care and meds. And, right now, it looks like the eye will be saved if she is treated carefully and properly.
But, she needs help with her medical bills and daily treatment.
Meet Aracely.

She can survive this… and the eye should be OK – if she receives constant care, medication and salves for the next 60+ days.
HER STORY
Aracely (means ‘alter of the heavens’) is a 15 year-old Peruvian Paso mare who, we think, got a halter rope burn under her eye… and it became infected and spread. That is what the previous owner said.
The previous owner was not able to give the daily care needed – and wisely decided to turn Aracely over to Double D Animal Rescue for round the clock care. And, already she is doing better. Her swelling has subsided and she seems more at ease.
The vet says that if her new caretakers are religious with daily washes, healing salves and medications/antibiotics, she should keep her eye. She’ll probably have scarring, but she will recover.
Other than that, Aracely is in very good condition!
CAN WE HELP ARACELY HAVE ALL THE SUPPLIES/CARE SHE NEEDS TO HEAL PROPERLY?!
Can we help her with the daily medical bills?! I know after the Holidays everyone is strapped for cash… but it won’t take that much to help Aracely through this horrible time. We can do this! Every Drop In the Bucket adds up!! Thank you in advance!
