DUMPED AT A FEEDLOT BUT TOO INJURED TO TAKE THE LONG RIDE TO SLAUGHTER – SHE NEEDS HELP! Meet our June Bucket Fund Mare, Sonata!

This is Sonata.  She is a 12 year-old TB mare who was dumped on a feedlot to be sold for slaughter.

Unfortunately and luckily for her, she was too injured to go through the sale.  So, she was stuck there.  No one owned her.  No one was willing to feed her to sell her… So she languished without food/water or aid  – in the sun – while awaiting her fate.

IMAGINE THE FLIES on that wound!

Thank Horsegods, a tip from the feedlot and for Falcon Ridge Rescue who picked her up without knowing how they would pay for her care.   Falcon Ridge rushed in to save her – they just did the right thing!

This mare was left at an auction yard with a horrible wound. Therefore she was rejection for slaughter sale. She languished at the facility without any aid. Imagine the flies! Luckily, Falcon Ridge Rescue rushed in to save her and start taking care of her severe wounds. They will feed and water her and bring her into their warm folds to recover.
