We have an update on our November Bucket Fund BLM Burros who were rescued from being sent to Guatemala!
These burros were in the care of the BLM in Utah (without shelter) but hadn’t been adopted after 3 advertising attempts – so via a loophole in the law, the BLM had intended to send these burros to poor farmers in Guatemala.
You can read the original story here.
SCARED, UNHANDLED AND NERVOUS
These 11 Burros were living in corrals without shelter in Utah – waiting for winter to arrive or their exportation to Guatemala, whichever came first.
Luckily, very carefully and strategically, rescuers loaded and transported these burros to their new Sanctuary at TMR Rescue.
After quarantine, these 11 Burros regained some of their freedom again and were released into the larger, established BLM Burro herd that was previously rescued in 2012.
LOOK AT THEM NOW!!
Ahhhhhh, this is so nice to see. Healthy, happy ex-BLM Burros integrated into a contented herd.
If you’d like to help TMR continue to care for these lucky Burros, the end of the month is almost here! Click here to donate!

Integration. Interesting how these same colored Burros stuck together…perhaps they are family, which is really nice that they are still together.
Only a few more days to help TMR continue to support these fabulous, strong, wild Burros – our Burros.
And, any Jewelry With a Purpose items purchased through the end of the month will go to these Burros!
