AN UPDATE ON OUR BUCKET FUND FILLY FOAL, SINCLAIR!

GOOD NEWS!

Even though she looked pretty bad in the original photos of her rescue… this girl has bounded back!  She spent 2 nights in the hospital and now is in the house of LRTC member, Brittany Denoyer.

You can tell, if you look at the photos… Sinclair is in a room of a house.  It looks like they have stacks of new flooring ready to go.  She has a window, blinds and a baby gate.  I’m sure this is the easiest way for all to keep solid eyes on her and to keep her temperature regulated during all of our freezing storms here on the West Coast.  (Sinclair was rescued off of the Virginia Range near Reno, Nevada.)

All donations are 100% tax deductible!  THANK YOU in advance!  We are MORE THAN HALFWAY TO OUR GOAL in helping her rescuers with her meds, milk replacer and hospital stay!

She didn’t have a suck reflex… but she drinks! Click image to watch a video of her drinking!

THE NAME… WHY SINCLAIR?, I asked…

LRTC watches over 3000 wild horses on the Virginia Range and throughout the Nevada state.  I was told that during emergency situations, they tend to grab whatever name they can think of and don’t put a lot of thought into it, like they do for regular, uneventful listing and record keeping.

So… the rescue team trying to save this baby could only think of the gas station on the nearest corner, which was a Sinclair.

The Sinclair Dinosaur.

Honestly, I have been in love with that green dinosaur for years… so it is OK by me!

HERE SHE IS… CHECKING OUT HER WORLD.

Standing steadily on her third day of life. She’s drinking and behaving like a regular baby, although weak. So far, so good.

These mustangs are on State land, not Federal. So the BLM does not have jurisdiction. The townspeople care for them.

Just curious about the future for this foal. As a wild horse, is she “owned” by the BLM? Where will she go when she no longer requires intensive care? Is she being adopted by the group that rescued her?
